We Accept All Major Insurance
Once you are enrolled, using your dental insurance is easy. Simply
choose a dentist and make an appointment! Smyl Manatee accepts
all major insurance provider plans, so you don’t have to worry about
whether your insurance works here – it does!
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network
Many patients are confused about whether a dental practice is in-network or out-of-network with their dental insurance provider and
what that means. While “out-of-network” might sound like a practice wouldn’t accept your insurance, it depends on your specific plan.
HMO Plans
HMO plans only cover dental work done by in-network
dentists, and referrals to specialists must be provided by
that dentist. If you have an HMO plan, be sure to choose
a dentist in their network.
PPO Plans
PPO plans are much more flexible. When a dental practice
is in-network with a PPO provider, it means they have an
agreement to charge the patient a smaller portion of the
total cost for treatment services. However, even out-of-
network costs can be quite reasonable.
